  When it comes to learning programs, like any other beginner, I was confused about which program to learn first during my engineering first year.  Even if I wasn’t eager to know much about programming, I still wanted to invest my time learning something.   Words can never express how much engineers (most of them) hate exams. Sometimes I do feel that we are taking everything for granted. Then I realize that I come from a middle-class background, and everyone expects me to ace every exam because that will give me jobs. Skills are actually the most underrated concept in every engineer’s(almost every) household. Unfortunately, I have been taught in my family that failure is not a part of my life; rather, it is the end of my life. But with time, like every other student, I stopped prioritizing exams as much as I should. Writing thousands of assignments only to witness it getting tossed in a bin sucked the life out of me.                                             If you look at it, I don’t think being an engineering student is as bad as people seem to believe. Some people may find it worse. Now that I am a third-year student, I am surprised that I have come this way when I look back on my journey. To add more to my surprise, I have no regrets. Studying (memorizing stuff that can be googled easily) has never been my forte, which is clearly reflected in my report cards.  Like most Indian middle-class parents, my family decided to get me into the best private engineering college in my state.
